Naeem is an engineer, scientist and an entrepreneur, driven by his passion for improving human health and love for art. He has 10+ years of research experience at the forefront of neuroscience, movement science and biomedical engineering. His current R&D efforts sit at the intersection between brain-computer interface, acoustics, and AI.
His expertise led him to form start-ups around assessing and improving human health. His current start-up, AAVAA, culminates his experiences and passions in building a solution to one of the most widespread challenges of human health, hearing impairment. AAVAA’s dream is to give everyone the power to seamlessly control their auditory environments without fumbling with devices. In his previous venture, AiFriend, he developed solution prototypes for assessing and improving the mental and physical health of seniors, from a companion robo-chatbot to a wearable vital tracker.
Alongside his passion for science and technology, he has pursued his love for art in different forms, from composing songs, which have been featured in international art events such as Montreal Nuit Blanche Festival, to publishing collections of short stories and poems.
